Cabinet furniture: packaging for the move

Rule of thumb: Anything that can be taken apart should be taken apart. It is much easier, more convenient and more profitable to transport a cabinet or rack in disassembled form. All removable parts: handles, wheels, legs are dismantled.

The packaging of cabinet furniture is as follows:

All sliding elements and doors must be secured with several layers of adhesive tape.
The body is wrapped with a layer of air bubble film.
The top and bottom are fixed with a layer of cardboard and adhesive tape. You can purchase ready-made sheets of cardboard of the right size or cut the box.
All removable fittings should be collected in one package and signed. So you reduce the risk of losing any part during transportation.
All parts after disassembly must also be signed with a marker. So it will be much easier to assemble cabinets, shelving and walls back. Attach assembly diagrams (if they are preserved) to one of the surfaces so as not to look for them in the fuss after the move.

Loading furniture should begin with cabinet items. It should be placed along the sides of the furniture van.
